Farrand Return of Student Belongings Instruction
Mon, Jun 1 11:09am

A message from Mrs. Washington....

As we bring our year to a close, we want to be sure to provide you with an opportunity to pick up your student’s belongings.  In order to do this in a safe and effective manner, we have scheduled a date and time for families from each grade level to drive through and pick up their child’s materials.  We have also planned for an alternative (make-up) time for those who may be unable to pick up according to the grade level schedule.  Items not picked up in June will be held in the school and will be distributed in August 2020.  Below you will find a chart with the dates and times for each grade level.

We understand that if you have a middle school student, there may be a conflict. We have arranged our pick up dates so they are not in conflict with East and West Middle Schools.

We hope to see you on June 10th and 11th for this drive-through process.  Staff  will be at the school during these times and are looking forward to waving to you with a farewell for the summer. If you have an older and younger student, you will be picking up on the older student’s day. You are welcome to come back on your younger student’s day to wave goodbye to the classroom teacher. To do this, you will need to get into the line of traffic.

Car Loop PIck up of Materials:

For the health and safety of all, families and students will need to remain in their cars during the pick up process. This process requires pick up in cars...no walkers.  We will use the student drop off loop in

the back of the school for the process. Cars follow the line of traffic...no passing, go around the circle, turn right and proceed to the collection point in FRONT of the school BY THE OFFICE.

This is how it will work:

  • As you pull up in the line, please display your student’s name and classroom teacher on an 8.5X11 sheet of paper in the passenger’s window.

  • You will be asked to pop open your trunk and a staff member will place your child’s bag with belongings in the trunk.

  • Each student’s bag with their belongings will be ready to go.

  • If you are returning library books, technology or other items, we will collect these items when we place your student(s)’ belongings in the trunk. Please let us know if you are returning items when you pull up.

  • As you drive away, staff will send you off with waves and cheers!

  • We ask that everyone Please stay in your vehicle.

Medication Return to Families

If you need to pick up medication, please contact the office. Otherwise you will be directed to a designated area where a staff member will  provide you with the medication.  Please bring your ID with you for this process.

Chromebook Information - Keep over the Summer

All students who currently have their Chromebooks at home, as part of the optional Take Home Plan,  and will be returning to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools for the 2020-2021 school year, are allowed to retain their school issued Chromebook for the summer and return them at the start of the next school year. All participating families should review an email with more details sent to their email address(es) between May 29th and June 1st.

Chromebook/Device Return (Families NOT returning to PCCS):

If families leave the district prior to the end of the summer, or do not want to keep their Chromebook over the summer, they must return their district-provided Chromebook and all accessories to the P-CCS Technology Department. Be sure to tag the returned technology with the student’s name and I.D. #. Please email chromebookhelp@pccsk12.com or call (734) 288-8121 to coordinate the return.

We continue to miss you!
