Good Evening Farrand Families, hello Farrand foxes. I am looking forward to seeing your smiling faces on Tuesday, January 19. Tomorrow, January 18 is a school holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Now for District News:

  • Return to In-Person Learning Discussed at Board Meeting

 

All parents are encouraged to watch the P-CCS Board of Education Meetings from this past Tuesday, January 12 and Thursday, January 14, on the official district YouTube channel to get the latest information on the district’s plan to return all students to in-person learning. During the meetings, members of the Board of Education and the administration discuss the work of the District’s Learning Design Teams and the tentative plan to return all students at all levels back to some level of in-person learning on or before March 1, 2021.

 

  • Changes to the School Schedule (Elementary Only)

Thursday, January 21 and Friday, January 22, K-5 Safe Start students will follow the in-person half day Blue / Green Cohort schedule.These will be in-person learning days for all Safe Start students in our previously-implemented hybrid model, with our Blue and Green Cohorts each having half-days of in-person learning as per the normal full-day schedule below.

  • Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the Blue Cohort will attend school in-person from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Young 5s students in the Blue Cohort will attend from 8:40 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.

  • Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the Green Cohort will attend school in-person from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Young 5s students in the Green Cohort will attend from 1:10 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

  • For elementary Virtual Academy students, January 21-22 will be full days of learning as per a regular full-day schedule.

 

  • Stay engaged and energized with P-CCS Community Education classes for all ages

 

Registration for winter classes is currently taking place.  A variety of interactive, online activities are now available, ranging from art to science, fitness to enrichment. Additional offerings will be introduced throughout the season, so remember to check back often.
