And now for District News…
Wayne County Health Department (WCHD) has revised its guidance regarding self-quarantine for students who have been identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 positive (or a probable positive) individual. This guidance will pertain and affect all P-CCS students and staff currently in self-quarantine as a close contact to a positive COVID-19 individual.

If your family is planning a spring break trip outside of the U.S. or U.S. Territories, please be aware that the Wayne County Health Department and Center for Disease Control require your child to be quarantined for seven days upon returning to the U.S. before he or she will be eligible to return to school. After the seven days, your child also must get a COVID PCR test and have a negative test result before returning to school. If you choose not to undergo the PCR swab, your child must complete a 10-day quarantine. As long as your student remains asymptomatic after 10 days, he or she may return to school/public spaces on day 11. Currently, the Wayne County Health Department has issued no such guidelines or recommendations for domestic travel. However, the P-CCS suggests if you do travel domestically this spring break that you self monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and strictly follow the daily health screenings before coming to school. For more specific details, please contact your school nurse.
During the weekend of March 26-28, Wayne RESA will be conducting building maintenance that will require it to take all of its information technology application services, such as MISTAR and SMART and district internet access, offline. This maintenance is necessary to ensure continued reliable power service to P-CCS buildings. From Friday afternoon, March 26 through Sunday afternoon, March 28, there will be no access to the services Wayne RESA hosts (MISTAR -- includingQ, Parent Portal, Student Portal, SMART, etc.) and no internet service within the district.
That’s all for now. Stay Safe and Be Well.
