Beginning Friday morning (November 6), all P-CCS families will have the final opportunity to select the Safe Start or Virtual Academy option for your student(s), beginning with the second semester (secondary) and/or second trimester (elementary) and lasting for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
Families will receive a pre-populated enrollment form via email on Friday (November 6) that will give you the ability to transition either from the Safe Start to the Virtual Academy option or from the Virtual Academy to the Safe Start option, should you choose to do so.
Please see this informational document for important details to consider when making this decision for your student(s). The information is broken out by each group, so please be sure to identify which of the four areas applies to your family’s current learning model. Families will have until Friday, November 13 at 11:59 p.m. to submit your request for a program change. This will be your final opportunity to change your placement, and your selected learning option will be in place for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
We are asking families to complete their selection by the evening of November 13 due to allow adequate time to complete the master schedules and staffing needed to accommodate the potential changes. If you are keeping the learning model for your student the same as it currently is for the remainder of the school year, whether it be Safe Start or Virtual Academy, no further action will be needed and there is no need to complete this enrollment form.
