Hello First Avenue Families,

 

First Avenue PTSA will be presenting it's first Speaker Series event " Identifying and Using Your Child's Strenghts"  on Wednesday, November 2nd from 7-8pm in the FA Art Room - Room 27.

 

The presentation will be given by Dr. Yvette Latunde, Ed.D., Professor of Teacher Education at Azusa Pacific University and First Avenue parent!  Dr. Latunde teaches graduate courses for the School of Education including collaboration, methods for teaching math and language arts, math interventions, and research & assessments in special education.  

Dr. Latunde enjoys working with families and supporting them as they support their children. She is the author of "Research in Parental Involvement: Methods and Strategies for Education and Psychology" and other articles.
