First Avenue Middle NEEDS VOLUNTEERS for our designated
PHONE BANKING NIGHTS to support
MEASURE A - RENEWING THE ANNUAL LOCAL FUNDING
WHICH WILL EXPIRE NEXT YEAR!
If you are living in Arcadia so that your children can attend one of California's top School Districts, then please volunteer to help keep our School District at the top!
As you know, due to the change in school funding by the state, Arcadia Unified School District does not receive as much money as other neighboring schools, so without Measure A's Local Funding, our School District will have to face the task of eliminating teachers, counselors, and other staff due to lack of funds, which means larger classroom sizes and other cost cutting measures! WE CAN MAKE SURE THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN BY SUPPORTING MEASURE A TO RENEW LOCAL FUNDING!
Every school in Arcadia Unified District has been assigned phone banking dates and times and must have volunteers to staff these phone banks. You will be volunteering with our teachers and staff , who will also be volunteering during First Avenue's designated phone banking dates. This is a great opportunity to show the teachers and staff our support! Phone lists and Scripts will be given to us so there is not need to worry about having to come up with phone numbers and what to say on your own! Some of you may have volunteered at the phone banks 5 years ago, and we believe that the phone banks helped pass Measure A.
Please see the attached informational flyer to learn more about the Measure A Renewal. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you so much for your support for Arcadia Unified School District and First Avenue Middle School! (FYI - Volunteers do not need to be parents - they can be grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors - anyone who supports AUSD!)
