Hi Foothill families,

We’re starting to build the PFA team for next school year and are looking for parents and caregivers who want to help lead, plan, and support our Foothill community.

You don’t need special experience—just a willingness to jump in, collaborate, and care about our school. 

Open Board Roles

These positions meet regularly, help set priorities, and work closely with school leadership:

• President – Leads PFA meetings, coordinates with school administration, and supports board & committee chairs.

• Vice President – Partners with the President, helps oversee events and committees, and steps in as needed.

• Director of Communications – Manages email, social media, and general PFA messaging to families.

• Secretary – Takes minutes at meetings, keeps records organized, and helps with PFA correspondence.

Time commitment: Most board members average about 3 hours a month (meetings + light prep), with some flexibility during busy seasons.

Open Committee Roles

More event-focused and great if you like hands-on projects:

• Dance Committee – Plan fun, grade-level social events (decor, snacks, themes, volunteers).

• Dine & Donate – Coordinate restaurant fundraisers and promote them to families.

• 8th Grade Promotion – Help plan and run the promotion party and related celebration items.

• Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Representative – Attend district PAC meetings and share updates with the PFA.

If you’ve ever thought, “I should get more involved,” this is your chance. Roles can be shared, and you’ll have lots of support from current board members.
