Foothill Middle School PFA March Newsletter

Spring has sprung and our students are starting their last quarter of the school year!  Time will really fly by between now and June, but the PFA still has a number of events coming up.  Please read on to find out more about everything we have in store, ways to get involved and some important announcements. 

 EVENTS

NOW: 6th GRADE DANCE VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

The PFA will be hosting a dance for our 6th grade students on April 26, 2025 from 7 to 9pm.  Tickets are not yet on sale, but we have started taking signups for parent volunteers NOW!  Without enough volunteers, the dance will be canceled, so we need lots of 6th grade parents to step up and make this event a reality.  Please sign up for one (or more) of the available time slots by clicking on the link below:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18th: DINE & DONATE at CHIPOTLE

This month’s PFA Dine & Donate event will be at the Chipotle restaurant located in the Trader Joe’s Shopping Center at Treat Blvd and Oak Grove Road.  Chipotle is generously donating 25% of all purchases made between 4pm and 8pm that day.  If ordering online, please use the code 24J7B3G or if ordering at the store, please show them the below/attached flyer. 

Monday, March 24th: FSM SPIRIT STORE RE-OPENS

For those of you who missed the opportunity to get FMS Spiritwear in the fall, you will have another chance to get Griffin gear starting next Monday, March 24th through April 18th.  We will send out the link to the online store in the coming days, so be on the lookout and please support the PFA with this popular and important fundraiser!

Join your PFA Board, Principal Stull and fellow parents at the PFA’s monthly Zoom meeting. Please log on, listen in, and learn about all the great stuff going on at our school!

Monday, April 7th through Monday, April 14th: SPRING BREAK

Thursday, April 24th: DINE & DONATE at STARBIRD

April’s Dine & Donate event will be at Starbird, located in the Encina Grande shopping center.  This Dine & Donate date was chosen to coincide with the school minimum day to try and take advantage of our students’ support of that business at lunch.  If your child is planning to go out for lunch with their friends that day OR you want to grab dinner for the family, please plan to support Starbird so they can support the PFA.  More details (including the fundraiser code and flyer) will be announced closer to the event, but mark your calendars now!

Saturday, April 26th: 6th GRADE DANCE

More information about this event – including ticket sales – will be sent to all 6th grade parents in the coming days.  In the meantime, to get information about this PFA event (and all others) and purchase a ticket, you MUST have a Konstella account.

To join Konstella, go to Konstella.com and click on the “find your school” tab on the upper right corner. Look for Foothill Middle School and follow the instructions from there. Please be sure to put your child into the Class of 2031 so you get grade-specific messages. Thursday, May 1st: OPEN HOUSE & ARTS FEST

Although the school will be sending out more information about this event in the coming weeks, mark your calendars now and plan to stop by the PFA table in the Quad.  We will have ways to donate to the Ed Fund, will be selling FMS Spiritwear, and would love to say hi!

 OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

PFA BOARD SPRING RECRUITMENT

Although it is only March, the PFA has already started its planning for the next school year.  Whether you were regularly involved at your child’s elementary school or were never involved in the past, the PFA welcomes all parents to make Foothill as great as our kids deserve!  If you have fun ideas for student events or fundraising opportunities or are just happy to lend a hand and execute our plans, there is a place for you on the Foothill PFA.  We have multiple Executive Board and Committee Chair positions to fill, so please email parliamentarian.foothillpfa@gmail.com for more details and join our efforts. 

The PFA membership will vote on the slate at the May 27th meeting, so reach out now to get information and get signed up.  We look forward to working with you! 😊

EDUCATION FUND STILL ACCEPTING DONATIONS

The PFA Ed Fund is running significantly behind and we need our parent community to come together and donate. Please consider the importance of your child’s education and dig deep! The suggested annual donation per child is $500, so if you can afford it, please consider donating the full amount.  Otherwise, please give any amount you can afford.  Every dollar you donate makes a difference!

Oh, and did I mention the PFA is a non-profit corporation so your donation is 100% tax deductible?  Contributing to your child’s educational experience and lowering your tax liability? Yes, please!   Donations can be made via Venmo or Konstella:
