New Website!
The PFA is excited to announce that we have a new website! Please check out our new digs at www.pfafoothill.com. There, you can make donations (it is never too late to make financial contributions to the Ed Fund), learn about PFA events, and get useful parent resources.
There is also an easy-peasy way to let us know you would like to get involved! Click on “Volunteer” at the top of the page and fill out a volunteer interest form that lets us know your preferences for involvement. We will be in touch with an event or activity that suits your lifestyle and interest.
Special thanks to our VP of Strategic Planning (and incoming President) Amanda Norton and her husband for their efforts in getting this website off the ground!
EVENTS
Thursday, May 22nd: DINE & DONATE AT THE KEBAB SHOP
The final PFA Dine & Donate for this school year at The Kebab Shop, located in The Orchards Shopping Center at Ygnacio Valley Blvd and Oak Grove Road. Most restaurants only donate 20-25% of their sales for a few hours, but The Kebab Shop is one of our FAVE restaurant partners because they donate 50% of all sales for the entire day to the PFA.
The Kebab Shop shows FMS big love, so let’s show some back by getting your lunch or dinner (or both) from this restaurant on May 22, 2025.
If ordering online, use the code FUNDRAISER in the coupon code box at checkout.
If ordering at the restaurant, please show them the below flyer (does not have to be printed out; just show the image!)
Monday, May 27th: PFA MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Join your PFA Board, Principal Stull and fellow parents at the PFA’s FINAL monthly meeting. We will be electing the slate of new officers for the 2025-2026 school year, approving next year’s budget and providing an overview of all the last PFA events. Please log on and listen in one more time!

Monday, June 2nd: SHAVE ICE TRUCK AFTER SCHOOL
What better way to enjoy the summer weather and kick of summer break than with shave ice! Ice Barbers is a shave ice truck (owned and operated by an FMS family!) that provides sweet treats to people all over the Bay Area and they are rolling up to Foothill on Monday, June 2nd.
The truck will be parked on Cedro – directly in front of the school – starting at 2:30 p.m. so kids can grab a cone after school. All cones are $8 so send your kids with some cash (or better yet, have them use their own money) and participate in this fun end-of-the-school-year event. Cash and electronic payment (including Apple Pay) is accepted.
Ice Barbers will be giving back 20% to the PFA so let’s get some money into that Ed Fund before we wrap up the school year!
Monday, June 2nd: 8th GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY SET UP
The PFA is partnering with the FMS administration to put on a beautiful and special celebration of our 8th grade class with a promotion ceremony and promotion party, but we still need parent volunteers to help pull off these events.
Set up for the Promotion ceremony will be held on June 2nd from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please sign up here:
Tuesday, June 3rd: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
The big day for our 8th graders! The ceremony begins at 10am in the FMS grass field, but we still need 6th and 7th grade parents to volunteer to help pass out programs, help with seating and take down following conclusion of the event. This volunteer opportunity will last from 9:30am to 11:30 am.

Dismissal Reminder
Just a reminder that the last day of school is a minimum day. Please pay extra attention when picking up kids around the campus that day. Most kids will be very excited and may be a little wilder (and more distracted) than usual, so drivers need to proceed with caution. Safety first!
Wednesday, June 4th: 8th GRADE PROMOTION PARTY
The PFA is hosting the 8th Grade Promotion Party at Urban Air Adventure Park in Concord from 5 to 9pm. 8th Grade parents should already know all about this event and should have purchased tickets for their children if they plan to attend. However, we still need additional 8th Grade parents to step up and provide supervision of the children at this event. We are expecting almost 250 kids so we need plenty of help keeping an eye on them. Please grab a friend and sign up to help here:
If your child is one of the 250 attending this event, please be a part of this process. Remember that the PFA can only host events if the parent community volunteers to make these things happen!
Closing Note
As I close out my term as PFA President, I would like to thank my fellow Board and committee members (for the past 2 years) for their time and effort serving on the Board. Every person’s involvement and contribution made these PFA events and fundraisers come to fruition!
I would also like to thank those parents who donated to the Ed Fund, showed up to chaperone dances, contributed food to staff appreciation days, supported our local businesses during Dine and Donate events, purchased spirit wear, or showed up to meetings and voiced their interest (or concerns) about the direction of our school. I can assure you that every single thing that every parent did mattered!
Remember that community is not a group of people, it’s a feeling. The more we, as parents, invest in Foothill, the more our children will take from this experience and the true feeling of community will grow. FMS can be whatever we make it.
I hope everyone has a successful last few days of school, an awesome summer and as always, GO GRIFFINS!
