Kinder Mixer & Back To School Picnic - LOCATION CHANGE TO KRUSI PARK
Thu, Aug 15 9:56am
Frank Otis Elementary
Location change for 8/16 Kinder Meet and Greet and Back-to-School Picnic/Potluck - Krusi Park

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing construction at Otis, the Kinder event from 2-4 and the picnic from 4-6:30 Friday 8/16 will not be at Otis but instead will take place in Picnic Area 1 at Krusi Park. If you aren't familiar with Krusi, it's the park that is immediately adjacent to Otis.
The best way to access Krusi is to enter at the intersection of Calhoun and High streets.
Principal Harris still will hand out kindergartner teacher assignments.
And we still need families to contribute to the picnic potluck!

Kinder Meet and Greet
All incoming kindergarten families are invited to meet the Otis Kindergarten teaching team from 2-3 pm at Krusi Park. There will be light refreshments, an art table and a welcome from Principal Tanya Harris, as well as kindergarten teachers and PTA officers. Welcome Class of 2032!
Also at 2 pm, Principal Harris will pass out "Whooo's Your Teacher" cards for families who can attend. Please note: this is for kinder families only so that our new little owls can meet their teachers before the first day of school.

Picnic/Potluck
Join the Otis community as we say goodbye to summer and hello to the coming school year! The Back to School Picnic and Potluck is sponsored by the Otis PTA, with delicious burgers and hotdogs (and veggie options) prepared by our Dads Club. Come eat, mingle and have fun. We'll have information available about PTA membership and volunteer opportunities too. Get excited for school, reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Can't wait to see you there!
What to bring for the Potluck? If your last name begins with the following letter, please bring:
  • A-G, Dessert
  • H-N, Side Dish/Chips
  • O-T, Drinks
  • U-Z, Fruit/Veggies
Be green and please bring your own plates, cups, water bottles and utensils. The Otis Green Team will be debuting our new reusable plates that we hope will cut down on waste.
