Help Otis Support Meals On Wheels
* Support: The Student Council will be putting on a Fantastic Gift Basket Raffle. Look for it soon! Please donate a special, non-perishable item to our baskets! (Gift cards, chocolate, special soaps, cookies, etc.) Ms. Holstedt (Room 129) and Ms. Elderts (Room 333) will collect items for our fantastic gift baskets.
* Send Coins: Each Classroom is collecting donations (students can bring coins that will be collected in a jar.
* Write a Check: Please consider writing out a check for this great cause – make checks out to Alameda Meals on Wheels. (Teachers will collect, or Ms. Elderts and Ms. Holstedt).
* Friendly Cards: Otis students will be encouraged to write “friendship notes” and cards to those who will be served meals. Student notes are greatly appreciated by Meals on Wheels recipients!
Please turn in these donations by Monday March 25th. Thank you.
Offering meals to those who need them:
Alameda Meals on Wheels (AMOW) is a locally-funded, seven-day-a-week program that has been delivering hot, nourishing meals to Alameda residents. Caring volunteers deliver meals to residents who may have had a recent surgery or hospitalization, and to others who aren't able to get out to grocery shop or cook their own meals. Our students at Otis will be raising donations to support this worthy organization. http://www.alamedamealsonwheels.org.
