AEF Enrichment Classes—Registration Opened 1/8!
Registration for the Alameda Education Foundation Winter & Spring enrichment classes opened, Thursday, 1/8. From Jewelry Making, to Robotics, to Guitar lessons, there's something for everyone!

Franklin Kindergarten Info Night, Thursday, 1/15 at 6:30pm
If you have an incoming kindergartener next year, our school's Kindergarten Information Night will be on January 15th at 6:30pm. Please see Ms. Chirrick's message in the Falcon's Nest News on ParentSquare for more info.
MLK Day of Service - Monday, January 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Franklin Elementary is marking MLK Day of Service with a hands-on shoreline cleanup at Alameda Waterfront Park near Radium Runway.

Franklin PTA Meeting, Wednesday, 1/21 from 6:30-8:00 pm in person, on the 2nd floor Room 12 - Science & Art Room
There will be no PTA meeting in February, so be sure to join us for this important meeting! Nuala Creedon, AEF Board Member and Ms. Laborica (Science Teacher) & Ms. Olsson (Art Teacher) will be giving special presentations at our first in person meeting of 2026. Meeting agenda will be sent out soon via Konstella.

Heritage Night, Saturday, 2/7 from 4-7pm at
Please join us next month on Saturday, February 7th for a fun night of food and heritage! At this event we will have a performance from LionDanceMe.
We encourage you to bring a dish to share from your culture. Culture can mean where you are from, your or your ancestors' heritage, or your home culture. Students can choose to showcase an item or perform something that highlights their culture during the performance portion.
Please come and share in the many heritages and identities of our wonderful Franklin community. More details and sign ups will be sent out soon via Konstella.

Volunteers Needed! — Franklin PTA Nominating Committee 🙋♂️
Our PTA is seeking volunteers to serve on the Nominating Committee from January to March of this school year. This is an important role that helps identify and nominate candidates for PTA leadership positions on our Executive Board. If you're interested in being part of this committee or would like to learn more about the responsibilities, please reach out!
Your involvement is a great way to help ensure that our PTA continues to thrive and support our school community.

The Enchanted Sea Soirée is coming up soon, March 7th—Franklin Elementary’s biggest fundraiser of the year—and we’d love your help bringing this enchanted, under-the-sea night to life!
