Dear Families,
We’re excited to announce that Franklin Elementary’s annual craft fair, the Snowflake Shoppe, will be back this year on Friday, December 6th!
Gift-giving is a cherished tradition across cultures, allowing us to express our appreciation for the special people in our lives—family, friends, teachers, pets, and neighbors. The Snowflake Shoppe provides a wonderful opportunity for students to pick out something for individuals and or pets that they hold dear to their heart.
Here’s how the Snowflake Shoppe will work this year:
• The event is free for students, teachers, and staff, but unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate parents or non-Franklin folks.
• Students will receive tickets on Friday morning to exchange for gift items—one ticket per item!
• We kindly ask families to donate items to help stock the Shoppe.
- We have put together a list of popular, affordable items you can purchase or create.
- We will also accept homemade gifts that are not on our Konstella list.
- A few favorites from previous years:
- No-sew scarves and beanies were particularly popular amount our young crafters.
- Individually wrapped candies, cookies, brownies, and hot chocolate packets (please, no nuts!).
- Friendship bracelets and squishy toys were also big hits.
- We have plenty of pencils and dreidels, so we do not need any more for donations.
• Donations can be dropped off at school in the front hallway from Tuesday, November 12th to Wednesday, December 4th by 12:10pm. There will be a bin at the bottom of the stairs near the office labeled “Snowflake Shoppe”.
• Volunteers are also needed to staff the Shoppe between the hours of 8:20am and 2:30pm on Friday, December 6th.
