The Jog-A-Thon is one of the school's major PTA fundraiser. The fundraiser gives Gates students the opportunity to raise money for their school by collecting pledges and participating in a lap run for 20 minutes.

Pledges may be made per-lap or as a flat donation.

Ask your Grandparents, Neighbors and Friends to pledge for your education!

General Information:

 All grades will participate, from kindergarten through sixth, excitedly running laps on the field and high-fiving teachers and parents. Students are encouraged to wear gator green or gator spirit shirt and any Jog-A-thon wristbands earned! Students have the option to ask sponsors for an amount per lap or a one-time pledge. Before each grade’s run start PTA volunteers get the energy going, doing aerobic exercises to warm-up the kids before they run for approximately 20 minutes to upbeat pop music. Water will be provided. All visitors and volunteers must sign in at the front office.


Volunteers Needed:

To help in the following area listed below email 

Set Up Volunteers to come early to help set up the field for the Jog-A-Thon 

Field Volunteers to help on the field during the Jog-A-thon time marking laps and filling water

Collection Counter Volunteers each Friday of collection and during Jog-A-thon (must be PTA member)

Prize Distribution Volunteers will help put together the prize packets during March for April distribution
