Volunteers are needed to help with the Read-a-thon each day for about 15 minutes/day after school to gather the tabulation sheets from the teachers. A spreadsheet needs to be updated and adjust the posted scores on a chart visible to the students. Doing this daily has driven competition. Pre-work involves printing and assembling the packets for the kids.
Read-a-Thon typically brings in about $1000 for the library and is a nice motivator for kids around spring testing time. Participation in the Read-a-thon is good and a very popular program. Runs February 20-March 2
