We’re rolling around to Gala season! We kick it off with an Online Auction (April 1st-7th), followed by the Mad Hatter's Ball Gala (May 1st) itself. At the Gala we have Raffle Baskets and a Live Auction - not to mention food, drinks and a whole lot of fun!
This is all done in an effort to raise funds to support our kid’s school programs like the arts, music and library as well as provide equipment for PE, costumes for performances and in-classroom technology that takes learning to a whole new level!
After the way you all came together to completely knock the Bandit Run fundraising out of the park, we know that this Glenoaks community is better and stronger together.
So how can you help and get involved?
1. Do you know any local businesses, organizations or community leaders that would like to support our efforts? We are looking for donations for the Online Auction - these can be things like experiences, specialty items, gift cards, etc. We would need these donations in-hand by March 9th. (See attached donation solicitation letter.)
2. Each grade level has a specific basket theme for the Gala that we’ll need item or monetary donations for, so keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks for a message from your Room Captain about your grade level theme.
3. Come to the Gala, bid on Principal for the Day, theme park tickets and a Big Bear Cabin vacation rental, dance your pants off - actually keep those on - and celebrate being a part of this Glenoaks family!
We value all of the ways in which our families contribute, may it be time, resources or
connections. As a public school, financial contributions are never required. That being said,
events like this couldn’t happen without the support of our entire school community, so thank you a hundred times over for joining us as we work towards the goal of giving our students the
opportunities, support and resources to allow them to have a well-rounded and enriched
elementary school journey!
