Attention Grown-Ups!

We’re calling on all Grown-Ups who are ready to jump in, collaborate, and take the lead on some of the cherished Grattan events that have become a beloved tradition. We know everyone’s time is precious with the hustle of daily life, so we’ve listed the event dates (so you can plan ahead) along with the approximate hours per week required for each role, giving you a clear idea of what you’re signing up for.

The great news is that we have playbooks for each event, so you won’t be starting from scratch. Plus, previous event leaders are available as advisors to support you along the way!

If we’re unable to recruit leads in time, we may have to forgo some of these events—but we believe we can do this together. Remember, we’re stronger as a team, and it takes a village to keep these traditions alive.

Film Fest (11/16) 6-9 pm

• Promote community celebration with a film at the lower yard with foods and goodies
• Four leads needed – Communications, Food/Drink, School Staff Coordination, Equipment Rental
• Should start planning 2 months ahead of the event
• Require between 2-4 hours/week to coordinate the fun event

Green Action Fun Friday (09/27, 10/25, 12/6, 2/28, 3/28, 5/9) 7:30 to 8:00 am

• Promote community building and Planet loving
• Two to three leads needed
• Can start planning 2-3 weeks ahead of the event
• Require between 1-2 hours/week to coordinate the fun event

Pizza Fundraisers   - Portfolio Night (03/2025), Math Night (04/2025)

• Promote School celebration and fundraising for 4/5 grades field trips
• Two leads needed
• Can start planning 2-3 weeks ahead of the event
• Require 1 hour/week to coordinate the fun event

Book Swap (3/17-3/20)

• Promote school celebration and books loving
• Two to three leads needed – Communications, Book Collection, Book Sorting and Preparation 
• Can start planning 2 months ahead of the event
• Require between 1-2 hours/week to coordinate the fun event

Funfest (May/2025) 11 am – 2 pm

• Promote community celebration
• Six leads needed – Communications, Equipment/Booth Rentals, Food/Drinks, Volunteers Coordination
• Should start planning in early February, 2025
• Require between 2-4 hours/week to coordinate the fun event
