Every first Friday of the month is Carbon Free Fun Friday! These monthly events are to promote safe and active routes to school and are sponsored by the Safe Routes to School program.
Grattan families are encouraged to come to school one of the four fun ways: Walking, Biking, Carpooling (WePool2School.org can help) and Muni-ing! This will ease traffic congestion and parking woes, but even better, it’s fun and healthy to get to school without a car!
Snacks and prizes will be handed out to all the students who come one of the 4 carbon free ways. The classroom with the most participants will be the winner of the “Golden Sneaker” for the month!
Look for information in the Grattan Bee about walking school buses and Bike Trains.
Please contact Amy Clark (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mark Thomas (ThomasM1@sfusd.edu) to get involved or if you have questions!
