On Saturday, February 23rd from 10:00-1:00 come have fun with your family and friends while making the school and environment better than we found it! All thumbs are welcome: green, two lefts, and small!

We will have coffee and water so bring your mugs and thermoses. We will also have bagels and snacks for the kids. Feel free to stay for the time frame that fits your family's schedule the best.

The plans for the day:
  • planting/weeding the Oasis
  • planting/weeding the Courtyard
  • build wildlife habitat
  • clean-up school yard
  • making signs for gardens

We will have chalk for the little thumbs that want to express their creativity along with other creative gardening and greening crafts.

We would appreciate all of the support and look forward to working together to make our school spaces greener, healthier and more inspiring for our children and families. Please sign up and join us!

The courtyard planters need some sprucing up. They need weeding and pruning. We will have some additional plants and flowers to add to them. This area is used by teachers to have lunch and often for class projects. Let's fix it up!

Team 5: Making Signs for Gardens and Schoolyard Signed Up: 3 / 10

Sat, Feb 23 10:00am-1:00pm
Use your creativity to make signs to help the children identify the plants. We would also like to make some signs that help dogs and their owners understand the schoolyard is a poop free zone. (Even when owners are great about cleaning up after their dogs, it's hard to get it all, then kids run around the school and track it inside. You can imagine the rest.)
