Dear Grattan Families,
I apologize for the last minute announcement but wanted to make sure you were all aware of the SFUSD School Planning Summit happening tomorrow. There was some confusion about whether it was going to be live or recorded. A pre-recorded video has been released or you can join the live zoom link for translation beginning at 8:45AM tomorrow (March 6th) morning.
This plenary session will include:
WELCOME AND STUDENT PERFORMANCES
Dr. Matthews, Superintendent
Gabriela López, Board of Education President
Focusing on Strategic Priorities
Meghan Wallace, Chief Financial Officer
Enikia Ford Morthel, Deputy Superintendent
Afterwards you are welcome to join the SSC from 9:30-10:30 via zoom as we work to establish priorities for the 2021-2022 school year.
You are also invited to attend our School Planning Meeting (a joint PTA and SSC meeting) next Tuesday March 9th at 6:30PM via zoom as we dive further into school priorities and spending.
I also want to address the elephant in the room...when are schools reopening? We still do not have any official dates but Grattan did just have a successful Department of Public Health inspection for our PK-2nd grade classrooms. We are currently working to prep all our 3rd-5th grade classrooms and it sounds like an inspection for those rooms could happen within the next two weeks. As soon as I have any new information I will share immediately.
Look out for a video in the next few days for a “tour” of our prepped and ready campus. Given that families will not be allowed on campus once we open I want to make sure you all can catch a glimpse of what it looks like.
