As many of you know, there is a shortage of paraeducators at our school site and many others in SFUSD.  One of the reasons for this shortage is the low wages that are paid to our incredibly hardworking and dedicated paraeducators.  Parents, guardians, and families can be important advocates for change.  Here's more info on how you can get involved:  https://tinyurl.com/para-advocacy 

Here are two things you can do THIS WEEK to support our paraeducators:

1) Come make a public comment in support of the United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) proposal for a raise for paraeducators on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the SFUSD Board of Education Meeting at 555 Franklin. 

2) Send an email to the Board or sign onto a letter/petition by parent Kristy Adams in support of paraeducator raises before or after K-5 clap-in in the Oasis (tables on the upper yard by the Shrader gate) on Monday, April 10 or Tuesday, April 11.  We'll deliver this letter and the parent signatures to the Board on Tuesday.
