As 2022 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for all of the incredible contributions to our community that our students, school staff, teachers, and families have made this year. From the hard work by everyone that goes into making each school day happen, to fun special events like FilmFest and Halloween, to staff lunches, to secret snowflake gifts, to classroom volunteers, this incredible community comes together to care for one another, to make learning fun and joyful, to show grit and perseverance in the face of challenges, and to pursue a more just and equitable learning environment and world. It is so wonderful to be a part of this kind and caring community.
We also wanted to send our last donation email of the year, as we know some families prioritize making charitable donations at the end of the year. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Grattan community in supporting the Annual Campaign, which helps fund critical Grattan programs like our additional 4th/5th grade teacher, our reading specialist, our gardening program, our librarian, PreK-5 classroom materials, and more. We have reached approximately 60% of our annual campaign goal, with approximately $115,000 left to go. Donations are tax deductible as the Grattan PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Many employers also match charitable donations, so please check with any employers to see if that is a possibility!
