We have several urgent volunteer opportunities for families and we could really use your help!
Lunch/Recess Monitors
We are in need of noon time volunteers. Looking for an opportunity to come on campus and volunteer with children in K-5? Several of our regular volunteers' schedules have shifted and we need a few more folks, specifically on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Time frame is 11am-1pm but we will happily take folks who can do an hour, 11-12 or 12-1. If you are interested, please reach out to Jack Sampior at: sampiorj1@sfusd.edu.
Count Me In Lead(s)
We need volunteers to coordinate CMIs. Tasks include organizing the calendar of events, being the point of contact for the hosts, working with hosts on equity and inclusivity, and managing the signup process. Count Me In (CMI) events are hosted by volunteer parents and are fun, community-building events that benefit Grattan Elementary School. Admission is free and open to every Grattan family. Attendees are also given the opportunity to make a donation to the school when reserving a spot for a CMI event, contributing to meet Grattan's Annual Campaign goal. Fun Fest Volunteers
We need volunteers to organize Funfest (scheduled for May 21). This is a great way to meet other families and help put on a super fun event that the kids adore - this will be the first time we will be able to hold it since 2019! Other less urgent needs:
Welcoming committee: Help new families feel part of Grattan! Efforts kick off when new families receive their SFUSD assignment and continue when new students join throughout the year.
Book Swap committee: Help coordinate book collection and organizing the event which takes place in May.
