Auction Update: Request for Personal, Business, or Parent/Family Experiences!

HACIENDA NEEDS YOU! As our March 25th auction event approaches, we are looking for donations of time, talent, and treasure!!! Your Auction Chair has already solicited over 300 businesses, but there are 3 ways we would love our Hacienda family to pitch in, if possible, in order to be the best representation of our diverse and creative school community:

1) HOST a "Parent/Family Experiences": Ideas include Champagne Brunch, murder mystery, coaching clinics, poker nights, paint night, movie nights, cupcake or jewelry making, progressive neighborhood dinners, spring pool party, grad party, bingo night, and so much more. Guest attendance generally starts at 10, but can go up to 20, 30, or more, based on your own ideas and plans for these types of hosted parties!

2) If you own your own business, please consider making a donation of a business item. Ideas include your own photography business, tax preparations, hair salon, Stella and Dot, Lularoe, Arbonne, face painting skills, music lessons, holiday gift wrapping, art lessons, pet sitting or walking, Mary Kay, flooring contractor, baking cupcakes or a cake for a kids party, offering your garage band to perform at a private event, food truck or restaurant, a jumper/table rental business, babysitting, private swim lessons, yoga or personal training sessions! (HIPS can help create a certificate for you if gift certificates are not something you typically offer.) If you are in public service (fire, sheriff, police, ambulance....), what about offering a ride to school in the special vehicle for one lucky student? Are you in the medical field? Ideas include a free eye exam, teeth whitening, or a discount on braces. Mr. Weber has already stepped up with the first donation- his PARKING SPOT!!! This will be a LIVE auction item, so plan to buy a ticket to win this highly coveted item!

3) You can also donate a physical item. Based on past sales, items worth more than $30 in value, or gift cards for $20 or more, are ideal donations. This includes any timeshares, vacation properties, hotel points, air miles, etc. you might own! If you have an item to drop off, you can leave it in the front office marked HIPS Auction.

Hacienda Involved Parents & Staff (HIPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the educational experience of every child at Hacienda Environmental Science Magnet Elementary School.
