UPDATE: Pumpkin Carving Contest!!
Contest requirements Q&A:
Q: How can I sign up for the pumpkin carving contest?
A: You can sign up HERE.
Q: Can parents help carve?
A: Sure! The contest is for everyone, though we want to see the wonderful imaginations of your children.
Q: Can the pumpkins be painted?
A: Yes! Carve, paint, decorate, you name it. All styles are welcome and will add to a fun, eclectic display.
Q: Can we take our pumpkins back home with us?
A: Please do! We want you to be able to enjoy them beyond one evening. Please claim your pumpkin at the close of Fall Festival (between 8:00 to 8:30 pm). Unfortunately, pumpkins that are left behind will end up in the garbage.
Q: Do I have to be present to win?
A: No. We will reveal the winners at 8:00pm. We will do a 2nd notification during Monday morning announcements.
Q: Where and when do I drop off my pumpkin?
A: Please drop your pumpkin at the pumpkin contest station (in front of the library) between 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm on the day of Fall Festival. You can drop your pumpkin later if needed, but voting may have commenced.
Q: How does voting work?
A: Every person at Fall Festival can vote for their favorite pumpkin once. Voting will commence at 4:30 pm, when Fall Festival officially opens. Winners will be announced around 8:00 pm.
Schedule:
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Drop off decorated pumpkins at the pumpkin contest station
4:30 pm: Voting opens
7:59 pm: Voting closes
8:00 pm: Winners announced
** If you have a battery-operated tea light candle to place in your jack-o-lantern, please bring it so we can illuminate all of the entries and create a sparkling evening display. We will have candles on hand for kids who need them.
Many volunteers are still needed for Fall Festival. Please consider signing up HERE.
