Highlights from Our HIPS Meeting

• The Spring Fling Committee is in search of Leads for: Flyer Design, Course Design, Medals, Activity Coordinator, Community Engagement, Decor Lead. Some of these can be done from home. Don't want to be a lead but still want to help, then join under the General SF Team spot. Don't Get Lapped, Grab a Committee Spot Now! The first planning meeting will be on Zoom Wed., Jan 14 at 7pm. 

• Save-the-Date: Star Party is set for Feb 28th! Information and volunteer needs will go out on Konstella soon.  

• Thank you for helping us raise $588 at Panda Express! Join us for our next fundraising Dining Night Out January 19-22 at Lazy Dog ALL DAY. Use the code “01SanJose” to order online. 15% of your bill will be donated to HIPS! 

• Treasurer Report: For December we had revenue of $19,707 with Program Expenses of $20,624. December Expense highlights include Scholastic Book Fair, Music payroll, Student Leadership, Teacher Supplies, Community Events (International Day), and Community Support for families in need.

• HIPStars December's Recipients are Regina Kim, April Babish, Nickole Gilliam, Mary Fierro, Mr. Edgar (staff), and Anna Lilly (staff). Thank you all for the countless ways you contribute to our school.

• On April 17th Hacienda will host its first Science-Palooza event. This will be a fun and voluntary opportunity for students to conduct a science experiment or research a STEM topic at home that interests them and then present their findings. Registration is NOW OPEN and can be completed using the Link - Register by Friday, January 30th: Science-Palooza Registration
