Highlights from Our HIPS Meeting

• We could use a few volunteers to help when the high school seniors return to Hacienda for the Senior Walk on Tuesday, May 26. See Konstella post to sign up. 

• Yearbook pick up is starting on Friday, May 22 before and after Kids in Motion along with a few other pick-up opportunities. See Konstella post for more details. 

• Treasurer Report: For April we had revenue of $12,470 with Expenses of $20,275. April Expense highlights include Annual Giving Drive, Outdoor Speakers for Music, ODC/Science Support for the Redwood Trees, Teacher Supplies, Art Vistas/Sprouts, and the Wildmind Assembly. A motion to approve $3,600 for filter baskets for the ODC Pond was presented and approved in addition to the 2026-2027 Operating Budget.

• April & May HIPStars: Anthony Banares, Jaime Cloud, Rebecca Richmond, Bernice Fung, Brandon Clarke, Rishabh Goel, Nelson Bradley, Melissa Perry, Keely Berg, June Wong, Ms. Anders (staff), and Mrs. Muller (staff). Thank you to our incredible volunteers for your time, dedication, and service that help make our school community so special! 

• Elections for the 2026-2027 Executive Board were held. We’d like to welcome our new board members, Sue O’Toole, Dee Mallins, April Babbish, Heather Gaukel-Popovac, Amanda Gonzalez, Elizabeth Thoma in addition to returning board members Jaime Cloud, Adrinna Cerna, Keely Berg, Nickole Gilliam, Shannon Miller, Lea Schweitzer, Andrea Reid, and Jocelyn Weart. 

• Kona Ice will be on campus on Tuesday, May 26 after school. Don’t forget your reusable cups!
