Lockdown Drill

Hacienda Environmental Science Magnet

Per Mr Weber:

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students, and we believe that preparedness and practice are essential components of ensuring a safe learning environment. On Friday, Sept. 22nd at 2:10pm we will be running our first Lockdown Drill of the year.  The purpose of this drill is to prepare our students and staff for potential emergencies, including incidents that may require them to take swift and appropriate action to protect themselves and others. This drill will help ensure that everyone in our school community knows how to respond effectively in case of a crisis.

It is important to emphasize that this drill is not intended to scare or intimidate our students, but rather to empower them with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe in challenging circumstances. Our staff members are trained to conduct the drill in a way that minimizes anxiety and provides a positive learning experience. We appreciate your support and cooperation in this important matter.  Please know that our offices will be closed for the duration of the drill, beginning at 2:10pm and ending at 2:45pm. Please avoid dropping off or picking up your child during this time. Thank you for entrusting us with the safety and education of your children. Together, we can ensure that our school remains a safe and secure environment for all.
