Welcome returning and new families to the 2020/21 school year! The HIPS board is excited for a new school year and we are committed to continuing the Hacienda traditions that makes our school so special.
HIPS, which stands for Hacienda Involved Parents and Staff, is an organization that pools the resources of the Hacienda community and partners with the school to support the teachers, students and their families through programs and services.
HIPS remains committed to funding our music and science programs, supporting staff through classroom supply budgets, and organizing community events and programs. If you are a new kinder parent, you likely have just taken part in Kinder Kickoff which was a HIPS sponsored event and Hacienda tradition. We also put on Fall Festival, Spring Fling, Outdoor Movie Night, as well as other community events. HIPS also provides funding for parent led programs throughout the year like Art Vista, Project Cornerstone and Sprouts. Many of these events & programs will be reimagined this year and we hope you can help us continue these Hacienda traditions throughout the year.
The HIPS board is made up of 11 members who are all parents of students who care deeply about Hacienda. Currently, we are looking for someone to fill the position of Auditor, which is a voting board position. We are also looking for someone who wants to lead our Annual Giving Drive. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and is critical to our success. If you are interested in the Auditor or Annual Giving Drive lead, please reach out to Nick Quinn <President@HIPS.rocks>. Many other volunteer opportunities will be communicated via Konstella soon.

¡Bienvenidos a todas las familias nuevas y familias actuales al nuevo año escolar 2020/21! La junta directiva HIPS está muy emocionada por el nuevo año y estamos comprometidos en mantener las tradiciones que hacen a nuestro colegio tan especial.
Quienes somos:
HIPS (Hacienda Involved Parents and Staff), que significa Padres de Familia y Personal Involucrados de Hacienda. Organización que recolecta los recursos de la comunidad de Hacienda para apoyar a los maestros, estudiantes y a las familias a través los programas y servicios que ofrecemos.
Que hacemos:
HIPS mantiene el compromiso de financiar los programs de música y ciencias, apoyando al personal a través de proveer un presupuesto financiero para materiales, y organizar eventos para la comunidad. Si ustedes son una familia que acaba de ingresar a kinder, lo muy probable participaron en “Kinder Kickoff” (la inauguración de kinder) que ha sido una tradición de Hacienda. También organizamos el “Fall Festival” (festival de otoño), "Spring Fling" (Festival de primavera), "Outdoor Movie Night" (Noche de cinema), así como otras actividades que se enfoca en la comunidad. HIPS también provee financiamiento para los programas que son liderados por los padres de familia a través del año escolar como Art Vista (programa de arte), Project Cornerstone y Sprouts (programa de jardinería). Muchos de éstos programas y eventos han sido re-imaginados para el nuevo año escolar y tenemos la esperanza de poder contar con estas tradiciones a través de este nuevo año.
Como puede involucrase:
La junta directiva de HIPS esta conformada por 11 miembros, los cuales son padres de familia qué creen y se preocupan profundamente de Hacienda. Actualmente estamos buscando llenar la posición de auditor, posición que tiene voto dentro de la organización. También estamos buscando alguien que desea liderar nuestra Campaña de Donación Anual (Anual Giving Drive). Esta campaña es la más grande y crítica para nuestro éxito.
