Hacienda Environmental Science Magnet

Wow, Spring Fling 2019 was great fun, with families walking Off to Neverland and really showing their Hawk Spirit!  456 (64%) of Hacienda Students participated!  We raised over $43,000 (preliminary) with walk-a-thon pledges, sponsorships, class baskets, teacher time drawings, and tie dye shirts to support HIPS programs and activities.

Over 2,600 miles have been reported so far, so please TURN IN YOUR LAP CARDS by Friday May 3rd to the front office or your teachers. Quite a few are still missing... It's not too late to help your class earn the Golden Shoe award for longest distance traveled.   The "Legend Platinum" medals for walking 20+ miles and the Golden Shoe Awards winners will be presented at "Kids in Motion" performance on Fri, May 24th.

Turn in Pledge Sheets before May 10th.  Pledge Sheets with computed "Per Mile Pledges Due" will be sent home with your teacher and/or an email to the parents will be delivered this week to assist with pledge collection.

**Online Donations are still accepted.  Pledge at least $40 total to get a T-Shirt that will be delivered to your student's classroom, just specify Adult/Youth Size  in the notes.  Also your donations may be matched by your employer if they offer that service.

Teacher Time Drawing Winners' names are attached below (updated 5/2).  If you entered and wasn't present to hear your name announced, be sure to check the attachment to see if you won!  Congratulations to all the winners and we hope you enjoy this great opportunity to grow our Hawk community outside of the classroom.

The 2019 Spring Fling Feedback survey to share your thoughts about the event and suggest a Theme for next year.

Thank you to everyone who participated; students, parents, families, neighbors, volunteers, and our wonderful teachers and staff.
