 We have an interactive night planned along with two amazing NASA speakers!

 

1) MEET ASTRONAUT STEVE SMITH

As a NASA astronaut Steve flew 4 space shuttle missions and performed 7 spacewalks. Learn more about his resilience in pursuing his childhood dream of becoming an Astronaut at https://www.astronautstevesmith.com/

Speaker Topic: An Astronaut’s Journey: Childhood Dreams To Riding Rockets 
- How to think creatively and to set big goals
- Skills to overcome obstacles at any point in your life
- Techniques to improve your life balance and joy while still advancing
- Have fun hearing about flying in space and seeing the Earth

2) BRIAN DAY, Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute at NASA
Speaker Topic: Virtual Tour of the Moon and Artemis Landing Sites
- See the Moon is great detail from satellite and telescope images
- Learn about potential landing sites on the Moon and their unique geology
- Learn about the Artemis Program 
 
6pm - 7pm: Speaker Session 1 (Steve Smith and Brian Day)
7pm - 8pm: Speaker Session 2 (Steve Smith and Brian Day) 
8pm - 9pm (and throughout): Fun space-themed crafts, hot cocoa (BYOM -bring your own mug!), telescopes to view the night sky, interactive science displays
