10/21 UPDATE: Congratulations to Ms. Brown's, Ms. Reid's & Ms. Hargunani's classes for having the most parent volunteer sign ups for Fall Festival! Each student in those classes will receive an extra trip down the giant slide - please let us know when you check in for your reservation that your student gets an extra ticket.
Thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers for *almost* filling the needed volunteer spots for Saturday... there's just 1 job left that's critical to be filled or the activity will be closed - Cake Walk Emcee (2) from 4pm - 5:30pm. This is a really fun one - someone save the cake walk!!
Please check in at the Volunteer Check In table 10 minutes prior to your scheduled volunteer time. The Volunteer Check In table will be located near the front office. As a reminder, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated - you will be asked to sign a confirmation stating you have been fully vaccinated prior to volunteering.
10/18 UPDATE: Thank you so much to our amazing community for pitching in to fill almost all the volunteer slots for Fall Festival... you all are amazing!!!! We have a few remaining spots which need to be filled, especially the all important Cake Walk Emcees from 4pm - 5:30pm and DJ from 5:30pm - 8:45pm. So far, our leading classes for parent volunteer participation are 1st Place - Hargunani, 2nd Place- Reid, 3rd Place(tie) - Brown/Tucker. The top 3 parent participation classes will get an extra trip down the giant slide for their students! Volunteer spots will close Wednesday at 5pm.
Due to timed crowd control and the extended length of this year's Fall Festival - this year more than any other year we need every family to volunteer for at least 1 shift to make Fall Festival happen!
Parent Participation Contest! The top 3 classes with parents who volunteer for Fall Festival will be awarded an extra trip down the Giant Inflatable Slide for each student!
If you would like to provide more than 1 volunteer or more than 1 item for each signup (ie - I'm 1 person, but making 3 cakes OR I'm 1 person but signing up to volunteer with my spouse), just leave a note saying that and the general signup will be adjusted accordingly.
Per SJUSD requirements, any volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the CDC.

TRUNK OR TREAT: Decorate your trunk and provide treats! Park it by 1:30pm and remove it after 9pm on Oct 23 Signed Up: 10 / 15Sat, Oct 23 12:00pm-9:00pm
Choose a theme that is appropriate for elementary school (google search trunk or treat and there are tons of great ideas)
Purchase supplies and decorate your trunk (you are welcome to use the huge amount of Haunted House decorations in HIPS storage)
Provide treats for ~600 kids (we will ask for some candy / prize donations, but plan to provide at least some).
Park your car on campus between 12pm - 1:30pm
Cars cannot be removed or engines started until campus has been cleared of guests at the events conclusion around 9pm.
You do not need to stay with your car all day (but if you want to dress up and be part of your display, go for it!) We will have volunteers running the trunk or treat.
