Wed, Apr 17 8:00am-9:00am
Hacienda Environmental Science Magnet

Join us for our very first Viva EscuelaSJ at Hacienda (on Vistamont between Kimberly and Rodney) on Wednesday, April 17th from 8:00am-9:00amPlease note that this section of Vistamont will be closed to vehicles this morning, so allow extra time to park or drop off at a different location, or better yet, walk or roll to school!

Viva EscuelaSJ is a fun-filled open streets event that will create a car-free zone at  Hacienda on Vistamont Drive) bringing students and families together to walk, bike, scooter, or skateboard  to school safely. It is also a free resource fair for students and families, with booths representing local agencies and community organizations such as Santa Clara County Parks, San Jose Sharks, San Jose Earthquakes, Beautify SJ, Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, CalFresh, San Jose Public Library, and more! All are welcome to come starting at 8am until the morning bell.

This event is part of Hacienda’s Walk n Roll series, which is designed to encourage and educate Hacienda community members about the benefits of walking and biking to school in order to create a safer, healthier, and more vibrant community for all of us! This event is co-hosted with our wonderful partner -  City of San Jose’s Department of Transportation, Walk n’ Roll Program!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Janny Choy or Melissa Cerezo.
