Star Party 23-24

Hacienda Parents and the Hacienda Science team (Mrs. Weisshahn) work together to host a Science Community event that aligns with curriculum and provides a hands-on event to learn more about our solar system and beyond!

In prior years, Hacienda has invited speakers from our scientific community and various local astronomers from associations like the San Jose Astronomical Association (https://www.sjaa.net) to provide an amazing family learning experience with telescopes to view the night sky.

The parent committee coordinates speakers and astronomers, organizes crafts and other activities, serves hot cocoa and treats, and engages our students and families to enjoy a night on campus exploring the sky above.
