📌 Please read: In order to share the work with as many volunteers as possible the Committee Leads would like to implement a 4 page maximum per parent until September. This will allow us to share the workload with as many volunteers as possible. If we do not have the yearbook filled by then, we will then extend additional pages to current committee members.

Help document Hacienda traditions and memories!

The Hacienda yearbook is designed by parent volunteers for each class and for key activity pages. We use Josten's for our online design portal. This is a great way to volunteer on your own time from home. No design experience is needed and many tutorials are available via Josten's portal.

We will provide a few optional training and work sessions so everyone is comfortable moving around in the portal. Once you have a page assigned, you will be responsible for collecting pictures (Yearbook team collects photos for all HIPS events), the design of the page, and obtaining approval from the teacher or person responsible for the area you are working on (Ex Sprouts, Art Vistas coordinator, etc.)

All class pages are 2 full pages (one side = school picture day photos (provided by Dorian) and the 2nd side = candids, class events, or other parent-submitted photos).

There are 2 deadlines. The exact dates are still TBD, but to give you an idea:
Mid-February: Fall, Winter Activities, portrait portion of grade level pages
Mid-March: Remaining enrichment pages (Assemblies, programs, etc.)

Yearbook Coordinator Signed Up: 2 / 2 Yearbook lead/coordinator will create overall yearbook design layout (order of pages and general content of pages), work with committee to collect individual pages and submit to yearbook company. Also will help Recruit volunteers & setup/attend the training.
Yearbook Shadow Lead Signed Up: 0 / 1 Interested in helping lead the yearbook next year? Shadow current leads and learn how you can have a large contribution to the team. Shared duties include; creating overall layout order, communicating with Jostens rep regarding deadlines, reach out to parents to fill volunteer spots, create folders on GDrive for parent photo submissions, hosting tutorials or working hours to assist page designers, communicate with page designers and ensure all pages are completed by deadlines, work with front office for scholarship needs, host 5th grade cover art contest.
