Hello Hammer Families!
September is in full swing, and there are so many exciting things happening around our school—events, fundraisers, and fall festivities! Here’s everything you need to know this week:
🎃 1. Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat – Coming October 25!
Get ready for one of Hammer’s most magical and fun-filled events of the year: the Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat, happening Saturday, October 25 from 1:00–3:00 PM in the teacher parking lot!
We’ll have:

Trunk-or-Treating

Fall-themed games and activities

Crafts, contests, prizes, and pumpkin patch
It’s going to be a fantastic community celebration for all ages, and we can’t pull it off without YOU!
📌 Reminder: You must be cleared through SJUSD to volunteer.

✂️ 2. Craft Supply Drive – Help Make the Festival Magical!
Our Fall Festival Craft Station is shaping up to be a favorite this year, but we need your help to make it amazing!
We’re building a giant table filled with fun, colorful, and creative craft supplies for students to explore—and we’re looking for donations of:

Leftover art materials

Craft odds and ends
-
Unused or gently used supplies
🎨 Drop donations at the front office anytime between September 18 – October 10.
Let’s make this an imaginative and joy-filled space for all our Hammer kids!
🎨 3. Luna Park Chalk Art Festival – September 20
We’re excited to be participating in the Luna Park Chalk Art Festival again this year on Friday, September 20 at Backesto Park!
A huge thank you to the Hammer parents who volunteered to help design and start our square—now we need YOU to stop by and help bring it to life!
🎉 Bring the whole family to help decorate and enjoy the event.

🚶♀️ 4. International Walk to School Day – TOMORROW!
Let’s get moving! Join us Wednesday, September 19 at 8:45 AM to celebrate International Walk to School Day and promote wellness, safety, and environmental awareness.
