We have some truly exciting news to kick off this week’s update…

Amazing news! Hammer has been rated 10/10 on GreatSchools.org!

In celebration of this incredible achievement, we are having a FREE DRESS DAY tomorrow (February 27)!

This rating reflects what we already know — Hammer is exceptional because of the strength of our teachers, students, and families.

🧮 Galammer Math Festival – Volunteers Needed!

📅 March 4, 5:00–7:00 PM

Bring out the whole family for our annual Galammer Math Festival, hosted in partnership with the Julia Robinson Math Festival (with thanks to HMF for funding this event!).

This is always an incredible evening filled with joyful, hands-on math games for all ages and ability levels. After participating for the past three years, we can confidently say: this event is truly for the whole community. The activities are engaging for everyone — we’ve even seen students outsmart their parents at some stations!

✨ Bonus: The first 100 students to attend will receive free pizza, juice, and a snack (basically dinner!).

We need 10–20 volunteers to make it happen. Volunteer HERE

🕓 Volunteer time: 4:15–7:00 PM
• 4:15–5:15 PM: Training and station setup (this is when help is most needed)
• Once the festival begins, most stations run themselves, and volunteers can participate alongside their families with occasional check-ins.

There are 10 stations total, and it’s a wonderful way to support the event while enjoying it.

📣 HMF Monthly Meeting – Join Us Next Week!

Please join us for the Hammer Montessori Foundation Monthly Meeting. This is a great opportunity to hear updates on fundraising, upcoming events, and ways to get involved in supporting our amazing school.

🏫 Schools of Tomorrow Update

The Schools of Tomorrow Implementation Committee (STIC) held its fifth meeting on February 10.

Key highlights from the district update:
• The committee reviewed responses and clarifications on the three initial options.
• STIC voted to retire Option 3.
• STIC requested staff develop three additional options for consideration at the February 24 meeting.
• These new options may include closures of schools not previously listed.

Upcoming timeline:
• March 3 – Special Public Hearing (4:30–5:45 PM), followed by STIC meeting at 6:00 PM
• March 7 – Special Public Hearing (9:00 AM)
• March 12 – Board of Education vote
