This fall our students worked hard to raise money for our school with our Boosterthon Fun Run. I'm thrilled to share with you the plan for our updated media center, which wouldn't be possible without student participation and parent support.
Mrs. McCauley and I have been working with the CMS Media Specialist, representatives from district approved vendors, Carrie Stoehr and Michelle Therrien, to develop an exciting plan for the media center.
Our updated media center will include new tables and chairs, soft and flexible seating throughout the room, mobile teaching stations and a fantastic Makers Space for STEM projects and learning. Plus so many more fun details! In addition, the room will have vibrant murals designed and painted by Ross Brown, the artist who created all the murals in our hallways.
We have received a tentative delivery date of March 10th for the furniture. In an effort to save several thousand dollars, we will ask for volunteers to help us unpack and setup furniture, as opposed to paying the company to do this. Please be on the lookout for an upcoming signup.
Save the Date: We will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Boosterthon, Scholastic and our local sponsors to celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, March 14th. More details to follow
It's going to be a brand-new media center that we know both students and teachers will love!
