Hi all

 

10/19 is the Unity day where we celebrate kindness and inclusion and reject bullying. 

WEAR AND SHARE ORANGE to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying.

 

We want a few volunteers to help the lunchtime activities.

Watch anime clips at https://includesomeone.com/ in advance. Play the 20s animation clips ( students select one out of three) and ask simple question on the scene related to inclusion. Sample Q: video 1, why the monster 1 give monster 2 veggie patty? Sample Q: video 2 , why the girl does not want to join the study group? Sample Q: video 3: what are challenges when someone moved to a new place? Feel free to create your own question. I will bring in one computer in advance. You can use yours as well. Reward stickers for participation.

By that time, most rooms likely has constructed their own unity chain like https://www.pacer.org/bullying/classroom/schoolwide/project-connect.asp We will collect and connect the unity chains made by the room together, to form a school wide unity chain. Help to display the chain to some shape ( like Unity or Hoover ). Additional chains can be made from the materials from "Sign the pledge" station.
