Hi! All Inventors and Parents,
We are having our last Invention Convention Virtual Office Hour this Friday 03/18, 4-5pm on Zoom.
The goal of this session is to pique the interests of our young budding scientists, to inspire their learning, to explore the possibilities of science, as well as to provide guidance and support for their project initiatives.
Our meeting host and speaker will be Dr Wanqiong Qiao.
Dr. Wanqiong(Joan) Qiao is the mom of a 4th grader and a Kindergartener at Hoover.
She is a faculty member of Stanford University and Co-Director of Stanford Clinical Genomics Lab. Being a clinical molecular geneticist, she has strong interest and extensive experience in medical genetics and genomics.
For this virtual office hour, Dr. Qiao will talk about DNA, the hereditary material in humans and many other organisms, as well as some fun facts and applications of DNA followed by a Q&A session. Students are also encouraged to share their ideas for DNA projects.
