Hi! Hoover Elementary Community,

We are having our first Invention Convention Virtual Office Hour this Friday 02/25, 4-5pm on Zoom.

The goal of this session is to pique the interests of our young budding scientists, to inspire their learning, to explore the possibilities of science, as well as to provide guidance and support for their project initiatives.

Our first meeting host and speaker will be Dr. Ci Chu.

Dr Ci Chu is the dad of one of our Kindergarteners in Room 2. He is the Director of Advanced Cellular Technologies at insitro.

He and his colleagues at insitro are working at the forefront of using machine learning and high throughput biology to accelerate pharmaceutical discovery.

For this virtual office hour, he will dedicate half of the session illustrating with a fun and simple game on how to find medicines and cures for diseases using computers. For the second half of the office hour, he will do some Q&A and help students with the specifics of their projects.

Please join us for a fun learning session and feel free to bring questions.
