In honor of:

• Clash Day: Jan. 26 - thank you Mrs. Howell and Mrs. Deggeller for Spirit Days!
• Book Exchange: week of Jan. 24 - thank you June Lau!, and
• World Read Aloud Day: Feb. 2 - thank you Mrs. Howell!,

Hoover PTA will be hosting a bookmark coloring lunchtime activity and is in need of volunteers on Jan. 26, 11:45am - 1pm to:

• Set up tables (outside room 3 for kindergarten and in the yard outside rooms 8 and 9 for 1st-5th grades) and hand sanitizers
• Remove packaging and layout the bookmarks, tassels, and color pencils
• Remind students to use hand sanitizer before joining a table
• Help distribute a bookmark and tassel per student
• Keep students as socially distant as possible while coloring
• Help students put the tassel on the bookmark
• Remind students to put the bookmark in their book bag
• Clean up and put away tables

All volunteers need to have submitted proof of vaccination to PAUSD prior to volunteering (https://pausd.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bBB75Cj4LvGfYxw).

Parents, please remind your student(s) to stop by during lunch to pick up a bookmark that they can color at home if they don't want to color during lunch. Bookmarks have a reading log and skills check on the back.
