The temporary closures are required due to construction equipment and crews entering and exiting the Caltrain right-of-way. Work will take place between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday. Staff is coordinating with Caltrain, including approving permits for the work to be performed. Parties and Playdates Go Green Hosting a class playdate or party? Go green - you'll save money, too. Start by reserving a Party Pack from your school or the city to cover the dishware and utensils and encourage people to bring their own dishes. Reuse last year's decorations, or use reusable banners. Order food from local businesses, organic where possible, and with less packaging and finger foods. Your games can use repurposed materials, and you can ask for non-material or gently-used gifts. After the event, save leftover items in good condition for reuse. Here are guidelines for a sustainable school event: https://ptac.paloaltopta.org/wp-content/uploads/Guidlines-for-Sustainable-School-Events.pdf
