Teacher Appreciation Week
We celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, May 1-5th. It will be organized by Room Parents with breakfast and lunches for teachers throughout the week. This campus-wide, collective appreciation gesture is made possible by the heartfelt donations from parents via the collection of Room Parents in the beginning of the school year.
Together, Hoover families express our sincere gratitude to teachers, aides, supporting staff, and specialists.
Monday, May 1st. Hosted by Kinder and 1st Grade: Lunch
Tuesday, May 2nd. Hosted by 2nd and 3rd Grade: Breakfast with Coffee
Wednesday, May 3rd. All. Thankful Wednesday. We encourage all students to bring in a homemade card or gift for their teacher.
Thursday, May 4th. Hosted by 4th and 5th Grade: Lunch
Friday, May 5th. All. Friday Surprise. We encourage all students to bring in a plant, succulent or flower for their teacher to end the week.
In addition, each classroom can also expect their Room Parent(s) to lead them in presenting to the teacher a year-end "thank you" gift card valued at $100 per classroom (unless your classroom has already done so at winter holiday time). Finally, part of your classroom donation collected via Room Parents in the beginning of the school year will go to non-teacher Hoover staff in the form of a year-end "thank you" gift card valued at $40 per staff.
You are welcome to guide your child(ren) in sending additional personal appreciation notes/gestures to teachers and staff.
The PTA is delighted to guide and assist the Hoover community with keeping these time-honored traditions. Thank you to all the amazing teachers and staff at Hoover! Hoover families appreciate you!
