👟The Hillcrest Walkathon is Saturday, April 29th – 9am-2pm!👟

 

👏 Thank you to all of you who have registered for the walkathon thus far!👏

 

📌 There are two weeks left before our March 17th registration deadline for receiving a free walkathon T-shirt and for classes to be eligible for a popsicle party. Each class with 80% or more of students registered by March 17th will receive a popsicle party! In 2022, each class qualified, let’s hit that target again! Please note that registration is not a commitment to fundraise. Participation percentages are generated by how many students sign up to participate in the Walkathon, and not based on pledges or the amount of sponsors.

 

👟 Where do I register my student?

Please register your student for the Walkathon by completing and submitting this Google form (click HERE). Please submit one form for each student in your household. 

 

🔎 Looking for your registration email?

Registration emails, for those who have already filled out the Google form, come from “Fundraising Campaign Update” with the subject “Your student registration is confirmed”.  If you don’t see an email like this, please check your SPAM folder. If you have registered, but haven’t received a confirmation email, please contact us at walkathon@hillcrestpta.org

 

⭐️ Fundraising Goal

The Hillcrest Cardinals Walkathon is our third and final major fundraiser for the school year. Our fundraising goal for this year’s walkathon is $80,000. Our latest projections indicate that the PTA will spend an estimated total of $1,752 per student at Hillcrest this school year.

 

☀️ What to expect on the day of Walkathon?

  • From 9am on, kids will be walking around Hillcrest to collect laps and earn money for the school. Parents are stationed along the route to ensure safety and mark kids’ lap cards with their progress.

  • From 11am-2pm, we'll have carnival games in full swing! With a variety of games targeted at different ages, there'll be plenty for all the kids to do, and they'll be able to earn fun prizes.

  • Food & drink are available during the entire event, beginning with a coffee + breakfast bar in the morning, an all-day snack bar, and a lunch booth featuring grilled options opening at 11:30.

  • The Walkathon is made possible by an army of parent volunteers (100+ the day of!). Volunteering is a great way to pass the time while your child is walking laps and also a fun opportunity to meet other Hillcrest parents. More info to come on how to sign up to volunteer.
