Last Day to Order Your Emergency Packets (or bring in your own) is this Friday, September 15th
It is important that your child has food set aside at the school in the event of an emergency. Each family is required to either provide their own package of food, or is invited to participate in the Middle School fundraiser - the Middle School students have offered to provide a packet for your child(ren) as a fundraiser to help support their annual field trip. So give yourself a break from assembling an emergency packet AND support the Hillcrest Middle School! The cost is $18 per student and there are gluten-free options. See attachment how to signup
We need each family to notify the school whether they will bring in your own packet or purchase the MS emergency packets. You can print out the form & read more about what is included by clicking here. Completed forms and checks made out to "Hillcrest PTA” with “Emergency Packet” written in the memo line. These can be dropped off in the bin marked "Emergency Preparedness Packets" in the front office.
Please do this today. Deadline to order these packets - or bring in your own food packet - is this Friday, September 15, 2017.

__________________________________________________________________HILLCREST HURRICANE HELP - Ends MONDAY Sept 18!
Help the human and animal victims of the hurricane(s) - the Hillcrest donation drive has been extended to 9/18 .
- Students collect "spare change" from family members, neighbors and friends (bills or rolled coins preferred ...)
- Checks can be made out to "Hillcrest PTA" with HURRICANE HELP written in the Memo area
- Students can bring in donations to their class through 9/18
- Hillcrest PTA will make a donation from Hillcrest School to the Greater Houston Community Foundation (ghcf.org/) Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, set up by the Mayor of Houston. The GHCF is a leading foundation that has helped in previous hurricane and flood situations, and supports many local nonprofits. If we get substantial donations, we'll help out victims of Irma as well!If you have questions, email your Community Service team: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.Please note that we are also mindful of the devastating flooding now afflicting South Asia, displacing thousands of people/animals. This drive is a "think globally, act locally" effort, but some families may prefer to "act globally." Both approaches are generous and helpful.
