Project One: KINDNESS IN A JAR!The Middle School is raising funds again this holiday season to support a very special cause—the Oncology Holiday Gift Program. This year, we will support 4 families with children undergoing cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital in Oakland. With funds raised, Middle Schoolers and their families will help to buy toys, clothes, gift certificates and other items on these families’ wish lists.HOW CAN YOU HELP?Order your delicious Holiday gifts- in-a-jar! The MS students have been hard at work creating two tasty options, A Coconut Curry Lentil Soup Mix and an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix, packaged in re-usable mason jars (directions are included).. These mixes make perfect hostess or holiday gifts….or a quick an easy dinner and dessert that your children can make for you! Orders will be hand crafted and delivered to your door before the Thanksgiving break. Middle school students Zack M, Parker S and Tristan W are collecting donations for animal victims of the Sonoma/Napa fires. Want to help out? The Sonoma Humane Society is still caring for MANY homeless or injured animals and they need more supplies.Hillcrest MS Students are looking to collect
- Dog and cat food (especially grain-free dog food)
- Dog and cat beds
- Cat litter and litter boxes (with lids only)
- PLUS Leashes, collars, harnesses, crates, treats, bowls, cat scratch posts.
Anything helps! Cash is great, new items are great, and good condition used items are also great. If you have something to donate, just email firstname.lastname@example.org for pick up.
Broadway Pet Hospital (4920 Broadway) has generously offered to help and is working with vendors to donate some of the food. Starting NOW you can also drop off your donations in their lobby.
