We hope you've found the Safety Patrol Program (morning drop-off line) to be helpful. The 5th grade volunteers have been awesome out there in their neon gear every morning! In order to keep it going, we need one parent volunteer each day to supervise them.
With Coach T's departure, we will no longer have Coach Ryan's help out front each morning. Which means, it's up to the parent volunteers, to supervise the 5th graders for the entire shift.
Adult neon vests are in the bin with the kids' gear, inside the main doors.
Flag skills are not necessary--you just need to be present to ensure their safety and occasionally remind them to wave the cars forward. If you feel so inclined, opening doors for kids is also helpful and keeps the line moving more quickly.
Please note that your own children will be supervised on the playground after 8:15. You may keep them with you for the first few minutes while you're assisting the Safety Patrol kids with their uniforms in the hallway and then send them outside. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you for helping out!
