Do your children enjoy the PTO activities at Hillcrest such as: Field Day, Bingo Night, and Field trips? All of these activities require fund raising to pay for them.
Field trips alone cost $7,000 each year…..We need a fully staffed PTO to continue!

PTO Myth #1 : “PTO board members are stay at home moms that have extra time while their kids are at school.”
Truth: The current PTO Executive board members are all either Full-Time Working Parents or Teachers just like you!
PTO Myth #2 : “Being a PTO board member requires me to spend several hours each week on activities.”
Truth: The PTO Executive board works as a team and on average only requires 30 min to 1 hour per week and co-chairs 1 major activity a school year.
PTO Myth #3 : “PTO must have all the support they need as we have the same activities & benefits every year.”
Truth: PTO meeting attendance has severely dropped from 20+ people in 2010 to normally 1-3 people in 2016-17!
Hillcrest has over 400 students; Less then 3 people are attending meetings and the same 5-8 people volunteer.
Thank you to those who attend/volunteer, but we need more help!!
