Hillcrest School

Attention Second & Third Grade Parents - If your 2nd or 3rd grader is interested in learning to play the violin, please see the information below from Ms. Nowik about an after school program.  The program is free other than the violin rental and book.

Hello, Franklin Public School Parents!

I have attached a PDF of the Power Point presentation from the informational meeting. I hope you still feel excited about becoming a Suzuki violin family. If you want to register for the classes, please fill out and submit the Google form linked below:

To rent an instrument, we recommend The Music Shop or Russo Music, both of whom service the district weekly. If your child was not present at the informational meeting, I have also attached a size guide for your convenience so that you know what size to get.

The Music Shop: https://www.themusicshop.com/

Russo Music: https://www.russomusic.com/

The Music Shop will include Suzuki Book 1 as part of their rental pricing.

If you plan to PURCHASE an instrument, please keep in mind that your child will need a larger instrument as he or she grows. Please avoid Amazon violins, in particular Medini, Cecilio, and Easter brand instruments. They are unreliable, difficult to tune, and easily broken. Shar Music has good quality student instruments and their pricing reflects standard cost for a decent quality instrument. Amazon, however, is a great source to purchase spare strings, the Book 1 recording, and a shoulder rest.

Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/

I can’t wait to make music with you all this year!
